In this class we had 3 of our chosen Type Specimen screens shared on a miro board to discuss the designs, what was good, and what could be improved.

These are my 3 screens, my favorite being the middle, everyone really liked my designs and the use of colour, the adjustments to make are mostly about making sure it's all clear and the scale of text is suitable for the screen. One of the other recommendations was to remove doubles of anything like 2011 in the middle and replace it with something else.

These are after the adjustments are made, the one with the most is the middle, I prefer it with all the changes, it’s more balanced and interesting. One of the areas I changed was the addition of the alphabet background which was from looking at others’ use of the alphabet, shapes, and letters. As I found everyone’s ideas so interesting and fun to look at, I added mine to the background as another layer without taking away from the original design.

I really enjoyed looking at others and discussing the designs, I think I learned a lot about design through this and everyone’s ideas. I think it also helped me look at mine more clearly and improve them all.
