In this class, we talked about infographics which is a great way of seeing information it breaks it down clearly and allows you to understand a lot very quickly. An infographic is ‘a visual representation of information or data, e.g. as a chart or diagram.’
We discussed how we as people are choosing to look at the information instead of reading it causing the death of words. This makes me think about how people would have created blog posts and that is how information was shared while there are still blogs online that are used to share and advertise social media is by far the more consumer media which is pictures/videos with captions so very little writing overall which has its challenges as it's so oversubscribed and overwhelming. Even with the downsides of social media, it is still the preferred option for most as all you have to do is glance instead of reading.

We can see the switch not only in social media but also in research papers/scientific research they have started presenting their information in different formats to make it easier to consume. Another area that I have noticed area I see infographics is environmental awareness of the future as it's an easy way to break down information for everyone and is a great motivator for people to see the amounts.
This infographic is from Anna Antsiferova at Garoazdo Studio. It shows the carbon cycle and its role in sustainable agriculture I think that this a nice infographic it explains everything clearly and directly, and even tho this infographic is in a different language I still think it is very understandable with the layout and images used making it really effective.

When looking at the infographic I came across this amazing work by Jing Zhang who has created these gorgeous infographics of human anatomy. They are so fun, playful, and busy while still being really clear and educational. They have created this really dynamic between showing the actual anatomy and showing it in a different way. The use of colour to help separate each section is great such attention to detail is amazing in really complicated areas and is so captivating. I love the connective way everything is shown and I will consider this piece when working on my dashboard for the critique next week.
